The Chase

For those straining at the leash…

“The CHASE:

Well,

here is the opportunity for you

to put your skills to the test.”

This is it. Everything’s been building to this point.

Having, completed your “Lifting the Veil” course which has provided you with some of the tools needed for you to enter into the next phase of your training. You are now ready to join a group of like minded people and with the support of Geoffrey your instructor we feel sure you will be talking about your experinces for years to come.

The Chase

Will provide you with the opportunity to put all your knowledge, skill and guile to its ultimate test by putting into practise the skills you have learnt by TRACKING A ‘LIVEQUARRY over changing terrain, by day and by night and in all weathers… FAST.

Are you up for the challenge?

Geoffrey is and as he himself does not know exactly where the quarry will be, this will provide us all with a real time challenge. Geoffrey will be with you for the duration of the chase, offering you support and guidance were needed.

You will track on roads, footpaths, woodland and anywhere else the quarry goes to get away…

Careful Attention To Detail and to the Bigger Picture

will Help you as a Tracker

Working within a tracking team, you will encounter various tasks along the route which have been designed to enhance your skills in the pursuit of your quarry and at the end of the day’s tracking, where you stop is where you sleep for the night. There will also be a night tracking task for you to complete this will involve obtaining intelligence about your quarry and their contacts and the laying of track traps.

Remember, this is a live chase and…

Your Aim is to Find Your Quarry

What are some of the challenges? If it means you sleep rough in woodland for the night, then so be it. If it means tracking in wind and rain, then so be it. If it means getting frustrated with lack of progress and not being able to pick up the trail again, then so be it.

This course gives you a the real taste of a ‘live’ chase.

Now here’s the thing: You already possess the I-T-M skills you need to track effectively. This is your chance to shine.

And that’s a good thing, don’t you agree? So now’s the time to do it for real or as real as it is going to get.

The Chase is the ideal Vehicle for putting Your Skills to the Test…

Here’s How it Works:

  • Arrive on Day One for your briefing at Base Camp. You’re briefed on exactly what’s in store for you and you’ll meet the rest of the tracking team. We’ll set up camp and get settled in. During this time you’ll naturally start to unwind from your everyday life and feel yourself tuning and relaxing into your surroundings!
  • Start the refresher training next morning.  You go over and practice once again some of the basic skills you’ve already been taught. This just brings it all back up on the surface of your thoughts and gets you further fired up for the days to come. Depending on how quickly we get through the refresher, we can get you all going on The Chase!
  • Get your heads together and start to form your plan. Assess the Terrain, ground conditions under foot, weather forecast and the character profile of the quarry. Here’s where you get inside his head!
  • Immerse yourself into “unique nature awareness exercises”. Exercises not taught by other schools.  We’ll show you how it’s done. Now pay close attention to this, as you need to do it for real in a couple of day’s time. All will be revealed!
  • Break Camp in the morning and pick up the trail of the quarry. Now the rubber hits the road and you’re off. You need to be planning, pursuing and tracking in the first few seconds. Make sure you get this right, as the wrong decision here can put your pursuit back by hours!
  • Stick like glue to the track. If you lose it, find it again quickly and easily using the I-T-M techniques you know.
  • Be prepared for some short exercises to reinforce your skills. These won’t take long and will be a welcome break on the pursuit!
  • Conserve your energy. Throughout The Chase, you travel light to make maximum use of time and terrain. And don’t be surprised at how much emotional energy you get through!
  • Eat heartily at meal times. We supply the hot food and drinks, so concentrate all your attention on making good progress across the ground. We’ll even do the washing up!
  • Decide the best place to sleep at night. All your sleeping gear’s dropped off for you at the end of the day’s pursuit. Now you need to find the warmest, cosiest, softest location around to lay up!
  • Corner the quarry. You need to stay on the track of the quarry until you either track him down, or you run out of time!
  • Now bask on the warm glow of a job well done. At the end of The Chase, return to Base Camp for hot food, drinks and de-brief around the campfire!
  • Chill-out. Now you can relax, swap stories and wind down before a good nights sleep!
  • Bid fond farewell to your fellow Trackers. After your breakfast tomorrow, a last de-brief and return home with a head full of tales about your tracking adventures. One thing’s for sure… you’ll be busting a gut to get out on the trail again around your neck of the woods!

Just think of this: By the end of the courses…

You’ll Be In Possession
Of That Rarest Of
Things… RESPECT

Respect of people who look on you as a problem solver, a detective with the ability to see what others cannot see, to glimpse from a single impression on the ground – into the very soul of the creature who made it.

And if that isn’t enough, then just consider an undeniable FACT: You’ve experienced the same intimate interactions with nature and the natural world your ancestors once experienced.

Now THAT’S a Powerful,
Humbling Thought, Isn’t It?

You’ll need to have attended Lifting The Veil of the Integrated Tracking Method system to take this course, purely because we need to be sure you’ve taken on-board the whole I-T-M concept.

We need to be sure you know, what we know.

Once again, it’s only fair to warn you this course might not suit everyone. We’ll be out in all weathers and crawling, kneeling and laying on the ground during The Chase. Be prepared to get a bit dirty and up-close-and-personal with Mother Earth.

In fact, this is a…

Fast Paced Course With a LOT
Of Information and Physical
Activities Packed Into It

We’ll be camping out in the woods, so bring along a tent, basha or shelter of your choice, PLUS waterproof clothing and boots to suit outdoor activities. A notebook and pen/pencil will be great to take down notes and to draw different tracks and signs.

We take care of your sleeping gear during the day, so you concentrate on the tracking. We drop your gear off to you at the day’s end from our support vehicle. So no worries about that.

In fact, we’re in constant contact with Base Camp and support will arrive in minutes in the highly unlikely event something unforeseen happens.

And not forgetting: We cook and supply all your hot meals and all hot and cold drinks throughout the time you’re out in the field.

IMPORTANT POINT: We also promise you will NOT be asked to do anything dangerous, or put in any situation you don’t feel comfortable with. But you should expect the course to be a bit more rugged than the others.

We’ll supply you with a simple Tracking Stick if you need one. Please feel free to bring your own along if you have one you want to use.

You’ll be given our printed tracking booklet containing all the hints, tips and techniques covered over the whole course. This is great reference material for you to look at out in the field.

And In case you’re still a bit undecided about the value of what we do; Here’s what others have to say about their experiences with us:

“I really enjoyed the weekend. As I said at the time, I think the way it broke down into different activities and disciplines worked really well.Working on animal tracks, human sign and energy tracking proved a great mix, and I felt
each part helped you learn something about the others.

At no point did any aspect of the course or the people upon it become overbearing, and I think
that’s quite an achievement…”

“All in all, a great course that can appeal to the broadest number of people due to its varied and wide ranging content.”

Mark – Kent, UK

“The weekend looking back was a very ‘dense’ experience: in the sense that it felt very full with
experience — I don’t feel that I ever was in need of more excitement or more things to occupy my mind — it was just fantastic to feel myself gradually becoming more natural myself!”

Richard Matthews – Kent, UK

What To Do Now…

Getting started couldn’t be easier.

Even though the price is extremely reasonable, here’s what’s really important. If this course was just another Military or Spirit ONLY type course that left you frustrated, confused and with more questions than answers, then it wouldn’t matter what the price is.

But if you get a solid, methodical and more importantly, BALANCED tracking education using a new, enlightened and thought provoking approach, what is that actually worth to you?

I can’t put an exact monetary figure on it for you – only you can do that. But I can tell you this, the course is the  BEST bargain and tracking course investment you’ll ever make. Join us NOW…

And let’s go track some bad guys!

Geoffrey McMullan

P.S. Remember: The Chase is the final part of your Integrated Tracking Method training. Armed with knowledge, skills and techniques from BOTH sides of the Tracking divide, you now have all the tools you ever need to track competently and confidently.

P.P.S. Listen: When it comes to tracking out in the field for real – it’s those with the most effective tools in their mental tracking ‘tool box’ – that get the job done. This training takes you from raw beginner to competent tracker…

OR you could opt to stay at home, lurking on Bushcraft and tracking websites as an ‘armchair’ tracker, just talking the talk – it’s your call…
